Mildura - Site ID: 626
Mildura is located on the Murray River in the North West corner of Victoria. One of Australia's fastest growing inland centres it is home to 25,000+ people in Mildura City and another 20,000+ in surrounding townships. Mildura is an Aboriginal term meaning Red Earth. But don't think Mildura is surrounded by bush and dirt. The countryside is a wonderful combination of wineries, orchards, flower gardens including Australia's only inland Botanic Garden.
Australia Adventures - Site ID: 627
The State of Victoria, in the south-east of Australia, offers an enormous range of attractions: you can dine out at one of the many magnificent restaurants of Melbourne, take a drive along the Great Ocean Road and view the rugged western coastline, play a round of golf in the north of the State beside the mighty Murray River or look over the magnificent snow-capped Great Dividing Range from a chalet at a ski resort.
Great Victoria Desert - Site ID: 628
The Great Victoria is the largest Australian desert. Its size is 424,400 km2 (163,900 miles2) according to most sources (though I've seen anything between 348,750 km2/134,655 miles2 and 250,000 miles2). If the last number is correct then the Great Victoria Desert in Australia is the third largest desert in the world.
