Amtra was formed in 1969 and was originally called Australian Motorcycle Trail Riders Association. The club had a preliminary meeting on the 16th of January at Milledge Bros. Yamaha with 24 people in attendance.

Life is a journey, as the old saying goes. It's also been said the journey is the reward. That's certainly the case for Camp Quality's esCarpade, as anyone who navigated their way around 2500km of dusty, muddy and down-right difficult roads for in 2004 will testify.
